    Notes:

    This is a very wet mixture and makes a lovely moist cake

    If preferred 2 x 20cm sponge pans can be used

    Recipe can be doubled for a large cake

    Ingredients For 8 serves

    50g butter, chopped into small pieces
    1 Tab golden syrup
    1 egg
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 Cup plain flour
    1 Tab cocoa
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    1 tsp Baking soda (bicarb)
    3/4 Cup milk
